A production still from 'Festival of Light'.

This score was composed in June 2011 as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival Composers Minilab.
The piece was composed and recorded in a day after the film was sent with no brief. Later the eight composers tasked to write the soundtracks presented and discussed the scores with filmmaker - Matt Hulse. The results were brilliantly diverse.
The clip is from a film called 'Harrachov', a work by Matt Hulse and Joost van Veen with Ben Rivers. It was completed in 2006.
The piece is called 'Wheel Vamp', and was recorded by Joe Cavers.

This music was written for Musemantik (audio software developers) as a demo of their interactive audio engine in 2009/2010.
The music is composed in individual segments designed to interact with the game environment to provoke emotion.
This was in the early stages of the software development and the video was intended to display how the engine might change the music intelligently in real time.

The piece was performed beautifully by Richard Worth (flute), Sarah Mitchell (clarinet) and Lewis Forbes (piano).
It was composed in 2009.

Restless Waves is a solo piano piece based on a theme I composed a year or so previously for another piece.
It was composed late 2009 and performed at Boom & Hush 2010, a concert organised by Edinburgh students to workshop and perform their music. The piece was performed by Jim Telford.
Restless Waves is dedicated to my aunt, Amanda Webster.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Matt Riley (Cancel the Astronauts) on his solo album. Matt wanted some strings in some of his songs and I was very happy to work with him and the fabulous Forth Quartet on recording some great arrangements. These are the rough mixes; I can't wait to hear the finished project.

Luci is delighted to announce her recent work with Jules Reed on his new EP: Five Songs for Your Consideration. The EP will be launched at a concert in Edinburgh on the 16th December 2012 at the Pleasance Cabaret Bar.
The launch will feature solo and supporting vocals from Luci Holland and support acts from local songwriters Cluny Sheeler and Calum Mason.
Reed's music is heartwarming, friendly and thought-provoking, and it should be a great evening with some very special musicians.
You can listen to excerpts from the EP on Reed's website: http://www.julianwagstaff.com/julesreed/listen.html
